1. What do OD and OS mean?

• OD (Oculus Dexter): Refers to your right eye parameters.
• OS (Oculus Sinister): Refers to your left eye parameters.
• OU (Oculus Uterque): Refers to both eyes.

2. Key Parameters of corrective power

• SPH (Sphere): Indicates the strength of correction needed. Negative values (-) represent nearsightedness (myopia), while positive values (+) represent farsightedness (hyperopia).
• CYL (Cylinder) & AXIS: If you have astigmatism, these represent the irregular curvature strength and angle orientation of your cornea.
• ADD (Addition): Primarily used for bifocal or progressive lenses to represent reading magnifier power.
• PD (Pupillary Distance): The distance (in millimeters) between your pupils. This guarantees the optical center of our lenses sits directly in front of your pupils.
